Philip T. Virga

Phil Virga is a Registered United States Patent Attorney with over thirty-years working directly with inventors in preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications primarily within the electrical, software and mechanical arts. Phil earned both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge in 1983 and 1987 respectively.

Phil’s knowledge base includes inventions in areas of wireless communication, hardware, software and mobile applications. In addition to his broad-spectrum of patent work with inventors, Phil drafts patent appeals and coordinates the strategic IP planning and management of patent portfolios for both small and large businesses. Phil has conducted patentability, validity and infringement research and rendered opinions in addition to preparing and prosecuting hundreds of patent and trademark applications and copyright cases.

Lewis M. Brande

Registered Patent Attorney

Lewis Brande is a Registered United States Patent Attorney with over twenty-years intellectual property experience. He appreciates and admires creative thinking and has a passion for protecting the ideas and inventions of others. Lewis earned his B.S. degree in Aerospace engineering in 1977 and two M.S. degrees, one in Aeronautical Engineering and one in Mechanical Engineering in 1979 and 1981 respectively, all from the Polytechnic Institute of New York, and a J.D. degree from Western State University College of Law in 1993.

Lewis has over 40 years’ experience as a lead structures design engineer, designing primary and secondary structure and subsystems on aircraft and extensively participated in other phases of engineering for Fortune 500 aircraft manufacturing firms and works directly with inventors in preparing and prosecuting both domestic and international patent applications primarily within the electrical and mechanical arts as will as prosecuting trademark applications.

Stephen J. Healy

Patent and Trademark Litigator

Stephen Healy is a Licensed Attorney in the States of Nevada, California, Oregon, and the District of Columbia and is additionally licensed to practice before the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. For intellectual property litigation Stephen is admitted in the following federal courts: United States District Court, Northern District of California, Central District of California, Eastern District of California; United States District Court, District of Columbia; United District Court, District of Nevada; and United States District Court, District of Oregon, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Stephen joined the Patent King firm as Of Counsel over 15 years ago and manages and oversees the Patent King’s patent, copyright, and trademark litigation cases. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University at Hayward in 1984 and his Juris Doctor from the Lewis & Clark College of Law in 1987. Stephen has litigated and/or tried significant cases to verdict in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Arizona with multiple Seven and Eight figure verdicts for his clients.
